Bjertorp Slott - the best of both worlds. At the heart of lovely Varaslätten between Skara and Gothenburg, 3.5 hours’ drive from Oslo or Stockholm, is Sweden’s youngest art-nouveau castle, Bjertorp Slott.

Built-in 1914, today Bjertorp is a meeting place for weekend guests, parties, golfers, weddings and meetings - all those who enjoy a little luxury.

A new chapter in Bjertorp’s history has begun. We have painstakingly renovated our hotel rooms with individual décor - 20th-Century art-nouveau meets modern-day comfort and convenience in a dazzling combination of colours and patterns.

Each of the individually designed hotel rooms, conference suites and lounges is a chapter in Knut Henrik Littorin’s intriguing life story. Bjertorp Castle has its own golf course on the grounds.

Activities

Bjertorp offers a broad range of activities - indoor and outdoor, physical or more sedentary. There’s golf for the beginner or the pro, you can outclass the boss in a poker tournament, enjoy a champagne tasting or be part of a cookery duel! Apart from activities that must be booked in advance, they have an early-1900s billiard board, table tennis, chess, darts and croquet freely available for our guests to enjoy.

Exclusive dining and culinary integrity are Bjertorp’s specialities. Combine your meeting with a meal and wine. We source our ingredients from local producers and our menus change with the seasons - yet another reason to return time and time again! In our beautiful dining halls, we can cater for every occasion - from a romantic dinner for two to a banquet for up to 150 guests. Our restaurant is a member of Chaine des Rôtisseurs, the crème de la crème of international gourmet restaurants.
