After extensive renovation and development, Festningen Restaurant is now an elegant yet informal brasserie where the chefs put their heart and soul into preparing only the best seasonal ingredients.

Perched on the old ramparts of Akershus Fortress (or Festning, hence the name), the views from the restaurant over Aker Brygge and the Oslofjord are delightful.

Our talented and committed employees serve the most delicious flavours in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and our wine list is exciting and dynamic.

We opened our charming outdoor restaurant on 17 May 2014 and are open for lunches every day during the summer.
