Fimmvörðuháls Hiking Trail

One of the new popular hiking trails in Iceland.

Fimmvörðuháls  is a upcoming  popular hiking trail, but also more demanding.

Leaving from Þórsmörk there is an extremely steep path for the first 2-3 hours,  but after you’ve reached the volcanic grounds it gradually descends.

It is a 10 hours hiking trip about 23km long and it is usually done in a day. Both Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls are combined in this Laugavegur trekking trail tour.
