Restaurants, Fløien Folkerestaurant
With its distinctive architecture and unique location 320 metres above sea level, it is no exaggeration to say that Fløien Folkerestaurant is an attraction in itself.
Mount Fløyen has been a popular destination for the people of Bergen and visitors since time immemorial.
Fløien Folkerestaurant was opened on 13 July 1925, giving Bergen a landmark on top of the city's most visited mountain. Every detail of the magnificent building, including ornamentation and interiors, was designed by Einar Oscar Schau.
The restaurant has now been faithfully restored with respect for the architect's original design concept but equipped with every modern comfort.
The panoramic view from Fløyen is among the most beautiful in Bergen with the city, Vågen, the islands, the mountains and the North Sea in the distance. Sunsets and twilights here are an unforgettable experience.
