There are three destinations in the Norwegian Arctic Region that have the certificate as a sustainable nordic destination.
Tromsø, Lofoten and Lyngenfjord care a bit more about the environment, their local community and unique culture.
The Nordic region has one label for ´Sustainable Destinations` for travel destinations. If the destination receives the label it has focused on the environment, the community and the local cultural heritage and also the economy. The destinations are evaluated every three years.
Narvik and Alta also will have the label as a sustainable destination.
