One of Gothenburg's most visited vacation spots, beautifully situated near natural areas and lakes, only 15 minutes drive from the city centre.
Gunnebo House and Gardens, just next to Gothenburg, are among the most beautiful 18th-century estates in Sweden. The house was built as a summer residence for the wealthy merchant John Hall and was completed in 1796.
The entire estate was designed by Carl Wilhelm Carlberg, town architect of Gothenburg, from the house, its furniture and interior decorations to the gardens and surrounding buildings.
Gunnebo House and Gardens are a historic location, just next to Gothenburg, owned and operated by the city of Mölndal. You can also experience the "Cultural Reserve", the organic gardens, farm, castle shop and Gunnebo Coffeehouse and bakery in the middle of the kitchen garden.
Gunnebo is open all year, and you can take guided tours of the castle and in the park.
