Helenekilde is more than a hotel. Above all else, Helenekilde is an ambience and a home
A home that welcomes visitors with its warm and understated atmosphere.
At Helenkilde the comfort of our guests lies at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in offering discreet luxury, excellent food, spacious surroundings and wonderful views for our guest to gaze out onto, relax and let their thoughts unwind.
Helenekilde was originally a private home. It was built as a summer residence by a building magnate called Grüner, who presented the beautiful house as a gift to his wife in 1896.
Not long after, in 1904, it was converted to a seaside hotel and given the name Helenekilde Badehotel. As Tisvilde became a popular resort and the famous seaside hotel expanded, a new wing was added in 1968.
Helenekilde and Tisvilde Strandhotel were bought by the Kølpin family in 2001 and 2006 respectively. In 2008 Alexander Kølpin fully renovated both buildings, lovingly furnishing and restoring the beautiful houses.
Alexander focused on creating an ambience that does justice to the natural environs and history of the buildings, while retaining the intimate atmosphere of a welcoming private home. The hotel is open all year round.
