The Finish glass art brand Iittala was founded in 1881, and is today specialised in tableware, cookware and design objects.
The strong roots i n design you can see in the designs Aino Aalto has designed for the company started back in 1932, and the famous Alvar Aalto Savoy Vase was designed in 1936. Other designers to mention here is Kaj Franck, Oiva Toikka and Tapio Wirkkala.
