Möckelsnäs Manor

Möckelsnäs Herrgård and its surroundings is a perfect place for inspiring weekends and relaxed holidays, from which you´ll take bright memories with you for a long time.

The hotel and flowery manor garden is situated by the lake Möckeln, in between shady beech woods.

The nature parks Kronan, Taxås and Höö with their enclosed pastures, groves, winding paths and dramatic ravines are our neighbors. Their ancient biotopes give shelter to rare and preserved herbs and animals that the Swedish legal right of access to open country invites you to discover. Next to us you also find a new built Orangery in memory of the great Swedish 18-th century scientist Carl von Linné. His birthplace Råshult is situated nearby.

Worth mentioning:

Even though this is a genuine part of the Swedish countryside, the populated areas are not really far from here. The small university town Växjö is located just a few miles away and from Malmö and Copenhagen airport there are direct trains to Älmhult, our nearest village.

Kitchen description:

Our restaurant welcomes both smaller and larger groups of guests, well-planned dinners or spontaneous visits. The road itself leading you here is an experience to remember, and a slow walk in the surrounding magic woods might work up an appetite... and therefore, you are always welcome just as you are.

To reach our dining-hall or wonderful terrace, you´re passing our bar and set of shelves with wines of good repute. You´ll easily find a pleasant complement to the beautiful view! Bring your friends and colleagues after work or invite the whole family for a Sunday meal. We´ll take care of the dishes...

Our set menu is based upon the classical kitchen and offers a well composed assortment of starters, main dishes and desserts. You´ll always find a vegetarian alternative and our conference guests can choose between different meals for their lunch.

For weddings or banquets we have several suggestions at all different prices. For smaller societies, we recommend a wine-tasting or an evening around a cheese-board in our cellar-vaults dated from the 17th century.

Our speciality when it comes to strong drinks, is a Single Malt Whisky. Welcome to try it whenever it suits you, unless you´d like to wait until our next Whisky-tasting event. (Read more at Activities) The mansion has easy access for disabled people.
