As something unique, Narvikfjellet has one of the most significant fall heights in the Nordic countries and perfect conditions for off-piste skiing. Without any doubts, Narvikfjellet is an off-piste world-class skiing destination, Besides large areas of groomed trails and pathways.
Very close to downtown Narvik, you will find the lifts approximate 200 meters above sea level. Within 10 minutes you are up 1006 metres. Start your experiences by enjoying the spectacular views from the top of Narvikfjellet. Besides the lifts, Narvikfjellet has a cable car path that runs parallel to the three lower T-bars. The cable car takes you up to the upper mountain lift station at 656 mas. Delightful chairlifts bring you to the top of the ski resort, and the end of the lift-based skiing at 1006 meters above sea level. The 3rd top is only 300 metres walk from here, which is the starting point of raw Off-Piste world-class skiing.
In February 2019 opened a brand new cable car facility. It takes you close to 1.2 km up in the mountain in 4 minutes. At the top 650 meters above sea level, you find a great Mountain restaurant.
Narvik has applied for the hosting of the World Championships in skiing in 2027, and it is Norway`s most urban ski area both for families and off-piste skier.
