Northern lights chase to Aurora camps

Maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights on this all-inclusive exciting trip combining a Northern Lights Chase with a visit to an Aurora Camp.

 With 10 years’ experience in Northern Lights tourism, our focus is on quality, comfort and ensuring our guests have a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We set off by bus from Tromsø to chase the Northern Lights. Where we head depends on the latest Aurora and weather forecasts. If the Aurora starts to dance in the sky before we reach our Aurora camp, our experienced guides will find the best photo stop with excellent conditions and a scenic backdrop. Our guides are also professional photographers and will help you with your camera settings so you can take your own photos. Our guides will take photos of the Aurora as well and gladly will share them with you the day after the trip.

After two or more hours of driving, we reach one of our exclusive Aurora Camps. Our three camps – in the Tomok Valley, Skibotn, and Lyngen – each have two comfortable lavvu's (traditional indigenous Sami people tents) and toilet facilities. We divide into two smaller groups (with max. 20 guests per group), each group have their own lavvu and English-speaking guide.

We will serve hot drinks and you will have the opportunity to enjoy warm food around an open fire. Please note that we serve wilderness food cooked and prepared over the open fire such as sausages or fish cakes and stew to add to the experience, rather than premade meals from restaurants served in a box. We do cater to dietary requirements with advanced notice. You should bring your own warm winter clothes, tripods, and cameras. We have a limited amount of tripods available to borrow. Our guides are always ready with their own cameras to take a photo that they can share with you.

Of course, we can’t offer any guarantees since the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, but we promise to use all our experience to maximize your chances of a successful chase! If you don't see the northern lights with us, you may sign up for the tour a second night for 50% discount!

Included: Transportation to our Aurora camp, 1 English speaking Guide per 20 guests, our guides are experienced photographers and will take photographs for our guests, photos from the tour (photographs will be possible to download from our website the day after the tour.) Sami Lavvu’s as a shelter with seating indoors for 20 guests, bonfire. Light supper that guest can prepare themselves on the bonfire with assistance from the guide if necessary. Warm stew with either fish cakes or sausages, biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. A limited amount of tripods for guests to borrow. Access to indoor toilet facilities.
