Polar Park Arctic Wildlife Centre is the world's northernmost animal park and home to Norway's large predators such as bears, wolves, lynx, and deer, moose, reindeer, and muskox!

Polar Park shows the animals in their natural surroundings, which means that each species also gets a lot of room to romp around. With 1100 dekar (1 dekar = 1000 square meters) in only 12 enclosures.

The Polar Park is one of the animal parks in the world with the most area per animal. Their goal is to create a Norwegian wilderness experience with the beautiful surroundings of Northern Norway's nature as a setting for your visit to Polar Park.

Join a guided tour

If you only have time for a short visit, we recommend you to join the guided tour at the predator feeding time or book a private guided tour before you arrive in the park. It can be challenging to see all the animals quickly since they live due to large areas. Polar Park is open almost every day throughout the year, and a winter visit can be just as good as a summer visit. A Winter visit is recommended. Then it is possible to see the animals in their thick winter coat.

The animals are also more active in winter because of the low temperatures (apart from the hibernating bears). The mating season for wolves and lynx typically fall between February and April.

In addition to walking around the park and experiencing wild animals, there are many other activities you can take advantage of in the park during peak season. You can go fishing in the river that runs right through the park or grilling at barbecue areas.

If you feel more like enjoying a good meal indoors, you can visit our cosy restaurant, which is located at the park entrance. They also offer two zip-lines for those who love adrenalin, and they offer wolf visits where you meet the wolves face to face in their home, the wolf enclosure.
