Stenshuvud is a hill in the southeastern corner of Sweden close to Kivik in Simrishamn Municipality
Stenshuvud National Park has an abundant variety of flora and fauna and has the exotic character of more southerly climes and great biodiversity that is worth preserving and visiting. It covers about 3.9 km² and faces the Baltic Sea.
Located in Skåne in the part known as Österlen you will find this beautiful park. The national park occupies 400 hectares, including 80 hectares of sea.
Coastal hills, lush deciduous forests, pastoral heaths and beautiful beaches unite to form a magnificent landscape.
To a large extent, the area is covered with forest, hornbeam being the predominant type of tree. Older trees with broad canopies, such as beech and oak, remain from the time when grazing took place in the area.
Today grazing livestock has returned to the national park, keeping the countryside open.
