Welcome to one of the largest palaces in Europe!
The Royal Palace is the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden. The Palace houses over 600 rooms, and it is the setting for most of the monarchy's official receptions.
The Palace is divided between seven floors with a state apartment, which faces the city and smaller living rooms facing the inner courtyard.
Normally the palace operates as a workplace for The King and Queen as well as for the various departments that make up the Royal Court, but The Palace is open to the public also and has a lot to offer.
In addition to the Royal Apartments, you will find three museums filled with regal history. The Treasury with the regalia, the Tre Kronor Museum that portrays the palaces medieval history and Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities.
The Royal Palace also contains the Armory, with royal costumes and armour, as well as coronation carriages and magnificent coaches from the Royal Stable.
