Time:

Nordic countries are the Central European Time Zone. Central European Time (CET) is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1). 

Post:

Post offices are located in all major communities in Nordic countries. Business hours are different for which country you visit.

Tipping:

The service cost and VAT are included in all prices at restaurants, hotels, taxis, hairdressers, etc. Tipping is, therefore, not customary, but tips are still appreciated when offered.

Laundry:

Most hotels offer laundry or dry-cleaning services for a fee. There are also coin-operated launderettes (self-service facilities) and dry cleaners in major Nordic towns and cities.

Water:

It is perfectly safe to drink cold water from the tap in Nordic countries.

Languages:

Yes, it is quite possible! Most Scandinavians speak several languages, and English is widely understood across northern Europe. German is also famous. It will help if you bring a dictionary with you. Internet/Wifi:

You can find wireless hotspots everywhere in the bigger cities or towns in Nordic countries (gas stations, city centres, cafés, shopping centres, hotels) though not all access is free. Most hotels also offer free internet access, and some may offer a computer with internet access for guest use.
