Utne Hotel in one of Norway`s oldest Hotels and is just in the heart of Hardanger fjord, 120 km from Bergen.
Imagine being able to holiday at a measured pace, and relax in a unique and distinctive environment, far from the stresses and strains of the city. There is a place to do just that at the heart of Hardanger.
Utne Hotel is one of Norway’s oldest hotels in continuous operation in the same building. Since 1722, when Peder Larsson Børsem was granted his innkeeper’s licence, travellers have found board and lodging here.
For several hundred years the hotel has offered a tradition of high-quality care and attention to its guests, with the famous ‘Mother Utne’ (Torbjørg Utne, 1812–1903) a byword for this tradition. Staying here is like being in a history book, with careful thought given to architectural details, amenities and decor.
