The floating, underwater hotel Utter Inn is the brainchild of local artist Mikael Genberg and it is located a very short boat ride away from Västerås harbour.
Guests can relax on the 25-m2 deck or take the dinghy out to one of the nearby uninhabited islands and when night falls it’s time to climb down the stairs to the bedroom with its panorama windows in all four directions – three metres below the surface of the water.
The room above the surface of the water has kitchen equipment has kitchen equipment, including a hot plate, crockery, 10L of fresh water and refrigeration, and a dry toilet. There is no electricity, but there is a portable gas heater and lighting. Fishing is not permitted from the hotel deck.
Utter Inn is open between April and October and can be booked via Västerås Tourist Center. NB! If you have a gift voucher for the hotel, you must contact Västerås Tourist Center on 021-39 01 00
