The famous hiking trail is located a hundred miles inside the Arctic Circle.
The Kungsleden (King's Trail) is a spectacular 275 mile long hiking trail, and one of the world's most northern hiking trails.
Along the route, you will encounter many waterfalls plunging from snow-capped mountains, frigid arctic lakes, birch forest, tundra, and reindeer herds.
This is the land of the midnight sun, and in late August, there is daylight for more than 19 hours. Here you have the option to hike in the northernmost 65 miles of the Kungsleden in the heart of Lapland, home of the Sami people.
This is the last remaining wilderness in Western Europe.
