When to visit the Nordic countries

In the Nordic countries, there are many things to explore in all seasons. There are pleasant warm summers with daylight from 18-24 hours with excellent possibilities to take a cruise, hiking or visit the many attractions the Nordic countries have to offer.

In autumn the forested lands can be the most beautiful of all, as the birches and other trees display a glorious array of colours.

To visit the Nordic in spring is quite an experience because you here can watch nature getting very green awaking after a long winter. The temperature is rising, and the many festivals you can visit here are beginning now their season.

The winters can be cold. Still, there are a wealth of things to do like skiing, dog sledging, snowmobile safaris, stay at a snow hotel or visiting Santa Claus in Rovaniemi in Finland, not to forget the majestic Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis, as it also is called.
