Snorri Thor Tryggvason - VisitReykjanes
From early May to end of August you will be speechless about the amazing and beautiful Midnight Sun in Iceland.
Of course it is a funny situation after a totally dark winter, suddenly to have the light 24/7, but in fact the Icelandic`s catch a lot of energy, they use in many ways.
Regarding tours and sightseeing options the light increase the possibility for adventures. You never need to ‘get somewhere before it gets dark’ – because it doesn’t get dark. You can go on a tour like Golden Circle midnight tour, a horse riding tour or hike a mountain during the midnight sun. You can even go caving during the midnight sun.
Amusingly, the most common one is: “How do you sleep?” My answer to that is simply that many people around the world can sleep with lights on, or like a little siesta in the middle of the day – and if you have to sleep in total darkness, do not despair, this clever invention called “curtains” is used in Iceland.
