Far away from everyday life. Wallby Manor is a personal meeting place just outside Vetlanda in the area called Smålands Garden.
The manor with its surrounding cottages is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lake Skirö. Here you feel at peace in an environment surrounded by dense forests, open fields and pastures, 300 year old oak trees and mirror-like lakes.
Red cottages with white trim. Stay comfortable in our bedrooms, we have three categories of rooms. The Hotel, Modern Cottage’s and the 1770′s cottage. The Hotel – here, you live in our newly built hotel part with red houses around you. Single or double room. Modern Cottage’s – we have eight semi-detached house with large living and sleeping loft.
For those who want a little more space. Here are four beds, small kitchen and dining area. The 1770′s cottage – For those interested in open fireplaces, large living room, kitchen and private patio. All rooms are equipped with shower and toilet, television, free wireless internet (fiber), bathrobe and slippers. Linen and towels are included. Magnificent nature all the way up to the door step.

Experience the best of Småland. The nature surrounding Skirö is really Småland at its best. Take the opportunity to experience and discover life in the country side through an active vacation or just by being. Here you can go fishing, hiking, biking, Here you can fish, from perch to crayfish, enjoy the tranquility of a rowing boat on Skirösjön, walking in the great forests, biking along winding dirt roads. Hunting for wild boars. Bathing in the sauna with a swim in the lake and listen to the silence.
Kitchen description:
Inspired by the seasons! The meal is a way to socialize and talk to each other and we think that is important. We are committed to creating a relaxed environment where we want our guests to feel “at home with us.” History, origin, curiosities around the farm, food and drink that we serve, is our heart.
We pride ourselves on partnerships with small local producers, both in terms of meat and vegetables. Fruit platters and flowers in the vase, we collect anywhere in the garden or the forest, where there is opportunity.
In our lakes, Lake Skirö and Saljen, there is a fine perch, walleye and not forgetting the signal crayfish. In the fall we pick berries and mushrooms, and we also have the privilege of serving meat from animals that are precipitated on the manor grounds. Meals are cooked by chefs love and knowledge in the overview of our chef, Anders Lundmark.
In Wallby kitchens are the key ingredients here and locally produced and high flavors that are created in a combination of traditional and modern techniques.
